Day-to-Day Responsibilities



  • Develop and embed Golang microservices within an existing C# application codebase

  • Collaborate daily with engineers who have 20 30 years of system experience

  • Assist in rewriting and modernizing critical legacy systems into Go

  • Use Google Cloud Platform to design, deploy, and manage services

  • Contribute to architecture discussions, PoC implementations, and future-state design

  • Support, coach, and upskill C# developers transitioning into Golang


Must Haves



  • 2 5+ years of Golang development experience (flexible based on caliber)

  • Prior hands-on C# development experience (strongly preferred for transition context)

  • Google Cloud Platform deployment experience (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, Cloud Functions)

  • Strong communication skills, team-first mindset, and ability to collaborate with highly tenured engineers

  • Comfortable working in legacy codebases and contributing to future-state architectures

  • Ability to work independently while building trust with long-tenured internal teams


Plusses



  • 5+ years total engineering experience (C#, Go, or other backend languages)

  • Experience modernizing legacy monoliths or performing cloud-native migrations

  • Exposure to containerization, gRPC, protobufs, or service mesh patterns in Go

  • Experience building and securing microservices within Google Cloud Platform environments

  • Prior work on cross-functional transformation or technical uplift teams
